01 - Preheat grill or skillet over medium-high heat
02 - Mix ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Shape into 4 equal patties, approximately ¾ inch thick
03 - Fry bacon in skillet over medium heat until crisp, about 6-8 minutes. Drain on paper towels
04 - Grill or pan-sear beef patties 3-4 minutes per side until desired doneness. Add cheddar slice to each patty during final minute to melt
05 - Lightly toast burger buns cut side down until golden brown
06 - Layer mayonnaise on bottom bun if desired, then add lettuce, tomato, beef patty with melted cheese, bacon strips, avocado slices, and onion. Top with bun crown
07 - Serve immediately with preferred sides
